Grace Lutheran Church, organized in 1947, is proud to celebrate 60 years of ministry in Uniondale! We are a wonderfully diverse family of believers who come together to give praise and thanks to God. Inside our doors you will find a casual, welcoming community that is filled with God's Spirit and ready for service.

Our members come to us from a variety of backgrounds and over 20 different nations of origin. There are numerous young families and we have a thriving Sunday School program. We are blessed that God has brought us together in this place. As a Lutheran church we are a part of the larger Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).

As Lutherans we believe in the amazing power of God's grace. The gift of life is given to all through the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We lift up the importance of the sacraments - Baptism and Holy Communion - as ways that the infinite power of God touches our world. Each week we gather to share the bread and wine, to be refreshed and made whole again. There is always space for you at the Lord's table. Mission

Our mission is the one that Jesus gave us, to make disciples. A disciple is simply somebody who follows Christ. We invite people of all ages and races to join us as we dedicate our lives to following our Lord. We are committed to being a welcoming place for the stranger, where all are built up and empowered to live the Christian life. We build up disciples through regular worship, education, fellowship and service.

God has given us the church to help make us into the kind of people we most need to be. We believe that our church community is a gift from God, and we know that our family is here to support and encourage us. Because we have thankful hearts we are constantly looking for ways to serve others. The Grace Lutheran Play School has been recognized as one of the finest in our community for decades.

We offer an amazing educational experience that is both affordable and fun. Right now we are hosting the New Life Center, a food pantry for Lutheran Social Services of New York. We also host various community organizations throughout the week (Alcoholics Anonymous, Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts, etc.).
